Yes. In Settings > Models > OpenAI, connect your ChatGPT account. It works with your ChatGPT Plus or Pro plan: Arguium’s AI answers — chat, screenshots and voice replies — then run on your ChatGPT plan, within its own limits, instead of Arguium credits. Press Ctrl+D (Windows) or Cmd+D (macOS) to start recording. By default Arguium uses OpenAI’s Realtime API to stream your voice through a WebSocket connection, providing live transcription as you speak. On Macs with Apple silicon running macOS 26 you can transcribe on-device with Apple Speech instead — free, with no credits used. With Questions on, Arguium decides which lines need an answer and replies in real time; press Ctrl+Shift+A / Cmd+Shift+A (Answer This) to get an answer now. Need a private moment? Press Ctrl+Shift+D / Cmd+Shift+D or ❚❚ inside the microphone button to stop listening without ending the session, and again to pick up where you left off. When you stop, Quick Actions summarize the session, list action items or draft follow-up questions in one tap.
Press Ctrl+H (Windows) or Cmd+H (macOS) to capture your screen, or Ctrl+Shift+H / Cmd+Shift+H to capture a region. Screenshots are added to a queue where you can batch up to 6 at a time. Stealth Mode (Ctrl+B on Windows, Cmd+B on macOS) hides Arguium’s windows from screen sharing in apps such as Zoom, Teams and Google Meet on Windows. On macOS, apps that capture the screen with Apple’s newer ScreenCaptureKit can still show them, so check yours before you rely on it. You still see and use it normally. It also silences Arguium’s sounds and system notifications, which a shared screen would otherwise show. Stealth Mode is part of Premium.
Open Settings > General > Phone Mirror > Connect phone, scan the QR code with the phone’s camera, and the page opens in its browser. About 10 seconds; nothing to install. Phone Mirror is not screen mirroring: it is a web page that shows Arguium’s own transcript and answers.
Yes. The phone and the computer don’t need to share a network.
No. It is end-to-end encrypted with a key that only the QR code carries; our relay passes along data it cannot decrypt.
The code works once and for 2 minutes. If someone else got it first, your phone says so — disconnect in Settings and get a new code. A phone can’t control your computer until you allow it there.
No. Your screen is never sent to the phone. Phone Mirror is a web page that shows Arguium’s own transcript and answers.

Not fully. Signing in needs the internet. You can point Arguium at a local Ollama model for chat; Arguium doesn’t support screenshots with Ollama, and voice transcription needs the internet unless you use Apple Speech on a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 26. To use Ollama, install it, download a model, and point Arguium to your local server in Settings.
Privacy is core to Arguium’s design. All conversations are stored locally with OS-level encryption. The app runs with Electron’s strictest security settings: sandboxed processes, context isolation, and no direct Node.js access from the UI. API keys are encrypted in your system’s secure storage. Sensitive data like prompts, screenshots, and personal information is never written to log files. With your own API key, requests go directly to your chosen provider.
Arguium has 13 fully customizable global shortcuts that work system-wide. On macOS, replace Ctrl with Cmd:

Yes. Arguium detects all connected displays and dynamically switches between them. Drag the window onto another display and it moves there as soon as your cursor crosses over. It handles mixed-DPI setups and automatically adjusts when monitors are connected or disconnected.
Download Arguium for your platform and install it. On first launch, sign in with Google or email to get your free credits. The app starts as a small overlay on top of your screen. Press Ctrl+Enter (Windows) or Cmd+Enter (macOS) to open the chat, Ctrl+D / Cmd+D to record your voice, or Ctrl+H / Cmd+H to screenshot anything on screen. Head to Settings to pick your AI provider, customize shortcuts, and configure your preferences.
